The Keg, Canada’s most beloved Steakhouse & Bar, turned to Kwittken to embark on its first-ever national public relations campaign. Targeting both loyal and prospective clientele, the campaign encouraged Canadians to rediscover “The Keg Experience” first hand.

The Challenge:

The 44-year-old, iconic steakhouse and bar was in the midst of a brand evolution, with sales on the upswing. Engaging media and influencers, and making them more aware of their unique offering, was a key part to spreading the word about this transformation for The Keg.

The Strategy:

Differentiate ” The Keg Experience” – superior food, staff, service and location – by  reintroducing media and influencers to brand in a memorable way.

The Execution:

To highlight the diversity of its menu offering and offer media and influencers an authentic The Keg experience, Kwittken hosted a series of preview tasting events and one on one immersive brand experiences for media and influencers for annual promotions including Lobster Summer, the Summer Drink Menu Roll Out and the Live Nation Concert Series. Additionally, Kwittken supported with ongoing media relations efforts including new restaurant openings.

The Results:

Overall, The Keg’s earned media and online presence dramatically increased. The campaign sparked the interest of Canadian food media and influencers who have since continued to share and take interest in the brand’s culinary announcements.
